Notes:
For I-70, the daily traffic volumes have been adjusted for excess axles and are seasonally adjusted.
2007 estimates are based on growth factors published by INDOT in April of 2008.
To arrive at the estimated AADT, a forty-eight (48) hour traffic count is averaged to a twenty-four (24) hour daily traffic figure. Since 1988, an axle adjustment factor has been applied to correct the axle counts to vehicle counts. This vehicle count figure is then adjusted by multiplying it by a monthly seasonal variation factor to annualize the vehicle count into a twenty-four (24) hour Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) estimate.
Lieber State Recreation Area reports typical annual visitors of 300,000 to 400,000 per year with the Summer months through Labor Day as the busiest months.
